Hello my loves! Yesterday was International Women’s day which inspired me to talk about some of my favorite, most iconic beauty looks inspired by some of the most beautiful women in history. Female power is more than just beauty, but because my blog is more geared toward make-up and fashion I thought it would be fun to take a stroll-down memory lane and appreciate the icons.
When I think of the iconic artist, Frida Khalo, my first thought is of her strong brows and gorgeous red lips. Want to achieve this look too? Start by defining your brows with a brow pencil that is a shade darker than your hair color. Next, grab your favorite signature red lipstick and voila. You have achieved the signature look of this amazing female artist.
Besides being one of the most successful actresses in the Golden Era of Hollywood, Audrey was a humanitarian and fashion icon. The biggest beauty trend of the sixties was of course lined eyes and a chic pixie cut. Grab your favorite liquid eyeliner and simply create a cat eye that would make Audrey proud. For her gorgeous locks, try a mock bob if you’re not too dedicated on cutting your hair or try her famous breakfast at Tiffany’s updo.
She’s Queen Bee for a reason obviously. Beyonce is one of the most successful women in the music industry EVER and her beauty looks are always a reflection of that success. While Beyonce’s make-up is ever changing, one thing she always has in check is gorgeous glowing skin. Beyonce’s make-up artist stresses that in order to have radiant skin, you need to hydrate, hydrate, and hydrate. Moisturize your skin before applying make-up and even dab a little liquid illuminator into that mix before applying your foundation.
Of course, I could not forget Marilyn. Marilyn is one of the most iconic actresses of all time and she is what made embracing your body sexy and famous. Of course Marilyn is famous in the beauty world for her gorgeous, glossy, red lips. Line your lips with a ruby shade before applying lipstick, and don’t forget to add a touch of gloss! Marilyn is also famous for her gorgeous, glowing cheeks. The best way to achieve that, is a touch of blush depending on your complexion shade. For lighter tones, go for a rosy pink like Marilyn. For darker skin tones, opt for a peachy toned blush instead.
Thank you all so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed this post and happy belated International Women’s Day to all my female readers out their. We are powerful, strong, and beautiful.
